Get-to-green.
The mechanic that turns dashboards into forward motion. Every stuck item earns a streak (Y1, Y2, R2…) so aging pain can't hide. A short list gets promoted each cycle into Get-to-Green, then broken into Next Actions with an owner. Adapted from Highland's LT tracker.
How it works.
- Step 1
Pull from dashboards
Anything yellow or red on /dashboard, /dashboard/annual, or /financials lands in the Blocker Backlog and starts a streak.
- Step 2
Promote to Get-to-Green
Each cycle, pick 2–3 blockers the team commits to flipping green. Everything else stays in the backlog.
- Step 3
Break into Next Actions
Every G2G item becomes one or more action items with a single named owner and a status.
Builder-mode adaptation. Pre-open, the founder runs this solo on a biweekly cadence. In Phase C, it becomes the weekly LT meeting agenda. See The Founder's Job.
Blocker backlog.
Everything currently stuck. Streak counts cycles-in-color (Y1 → Y2 → Y3, R1 → R2…). Once yellow ≥3 or red ≥2, it earns promotion.

Cadence & rules.
- Cadence. Biweekly pre-open, weekly in Phase C — same slot as the LT meeting.
- Streak rule. Yellow ≥3 or red ≥2 must be promoted or explicitly retired with reasoning.
- Ownership rule. Every G2G item and every action has exactly one owner. No shared ownership.
- Small-list rule. Max 3 items in Get-to-Green at once. Everything else stays in the backlog.
- Escalation rule. Any red item on its third cycle goes to the board update.
